Central City

The official capital and also the Main area of government which is in Amestris. The National Central Library, Central Command, the 5 National Laboratories.

North City

Located to the south of the Briggs Mountain Range, North City is a town blanketed in snow for most of the year. As the crucial Fort Briggs is rather difficult to achieve by normal means of transportation, military personnel attempting to make contact with the fort must first stop at North HQ and either take the main road on foot or await official escort from Briggs itself.

The main military hub would be located in South City as well as the cultural center which is a reason it would be famous for sightseeing and tourists. South city is located to the south of Dublith

West City

There is often direct conflict with the neighboring country Creta, West HQ's forces fight them over the location of the national border. Western military forces are also said to have an impressive number of troops, all trained in guerrilla warfare. The Western Military seems to have a strong affiliation with Central City's forces.

East City

Though considered by many as a place with little future, East City boasts what is recognized as Amestris' strongest offensive force. Having the closest proximity to Ishval, the Eastern Military bore the greatest burden during the Ishvalan Civil War, leaving it with many veteran soldiers.

Also known as "Lior", citizens have a strong religious sense, there is a lack of military personal located here.

New Optain

North of East City, and is more closely connected to Central Command is also known to be a place of little future, less so than east city.

Resembool

Resembool is a rural town in the southeastern region on the banks of the Rain River. Small and relatively isolated, it is well known in the region as a sheep-farming town and a exports of wool to be used in the manufacture of military uniforms. As such, the town had begun to grow in size due the financial success. Resembool holds a large Sheep Festival to celebrate the start of Spring.

Rush Valley

The multitude of automail engineers in Rush Valley cheerfully celebrate their craft and walk the streets in droves, holding automail-related competitions and pushing their wares on unsuspecting passersby. As a result, it becomes a bit of a hassle to walk through the city with automail, as the vendors will go to great lengths to either sell upgrades or closely scrutinize whatever appendages happen to be prosthetic.

Barren frontier and just shy of the Great Desert separating the western and eastern nations of the continent, Ishval has been described as a rather harsh land made of little more than rocks and sand; it has no significant natural resources and very little farmable land, which likely accounts for the strict codes of conduct and sense of resilience adopted by its inhabitants.
